Ursula Jones has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 3 years and now sees patients full time at Edison Health Care Associates. She began her nursing career 11 years ago in hospitals focusing on neuroscience, operating and emergency nursing. She worked for a year and a half at Harper University Hospital in Internal Medicine as a Hospitalist caring for in-patients. Nurse Practitioner Jones obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in nursing from Wayne State University in 2008 and her Masters of Science in Nursing from South University in 2016. Ursula spent part of her internship with us here at Edison Health Care Associates in 2015. Her talent and knowledge and excellent bedside manner were clearly noticed by us at that time and she was offered a position with us when she completed. After gaining even more experience in the field she returned to us in 2018 as a full time NP to the delight of staff and patients alike. She has been an integral part of our growth and success since then. Her experiences as a bedside nurse, emergency nurse and a Nurse Practitioner in the hospital have shaped her practice to work with patients and their families to teach them about maximizing their health. Ursula is also a data 2000 waived provider and participates in our buprenorphine program.
